  • Why Can’t I Recycle Glass?

    Unfortunately, there is no market for glass at this time. Therefore, glass must be put in the trash. Glass can also be taken to Recycle Works West. Learn more about their location, hours and what items they accept here.

  • What Can I Put in My Recycle Cart?

    Recycling in Wentzville is easy with single-stream. Both Fiber and Rigids now go in one cart. Glass is not accepted. Below is a list of recyclable items: PaperCardboardPlastics #1, 2, 3, 5, and 7Aluminum and Metal ContainersThe lid on recycle carts must be completely closed to ensure hauler will pick-up.

  • What Are the Cart Sizes Available for Recycling?

    The standard cart size for recycling is a 65-gallon cart. A limited number of 35-gallon carts and 95-gallon carts are available upon request. You may also add a second cart to your account at www.wentzvillemo.gov/solid-waste-recycling-request.

  • I Don’t Have a Recycling Cart. Will One Be Provided?

    All Wentzville residents can opt into the recycling program at no extra cost. A 65 gallon recycling cart can be requested free of charge. Any resident who wishes to opt into the recycling program can call (636) 639-2049 or complete this form. Recycling carts are not automatically delivered with new trash service.

  • Can I Schedule an Extra Trash Pickup?

    Yes, you can call to schedule this service for a fee. Please call (636) 639-2049 to set up an extra trash pickup or visit www.wentzvillemo.gov/solid-waste-recycling-request.

  • What if I Have Too Much Trash for My Cart?

    Each week, you can place up to three extra bags of trash next to your cart, at no additional cost. Have more than three extra bags? No problem! Extra bag collection is only $2.50/bag.     The trash hauler requires that lids on all carts (trash, recycling and yard waste) be completely closed to ensure pick up.
