What is the Comprehensive Plan?
The Missouri State Statutes enable cities to adopt “City Plans” in order to manage expected growth and establish community goals and aspirations. These plans, commonly known as “Comprehensive Plans”, tell the story of a community by informing readers of the community’s history, current character and anticipating what they could look like in the future. In order for these plans to be effective, they must periodically be updated to amend text, tables and maps.
