We’re back with another episode of Switching Roles! And this time, the seasons aren’t the only thing changing — the Mayor’s job is flipping once again!

Mayor Guccione is trading his desk for a day in the garage with our Fleet Division, the team that keeps Wentzville rolling all year long. From changing oil and performing maintenance checks to testing out the snowplow, he’s getting his hands dirty to see firsthand what it takes to keep our City vehicles running safely and efficiently.

Whether it’s patrol cars, trucks or snowplows, our Fleet team ensures every vehicle is ready to hit the road when duty calls.

Stay tuned to see where the Mayor heads next — in this series, every season brings a new role!

This holiday will not affect your solid waste, recycling or yard-waste collection.

From clearing roads during early-morning snowfalls to keeping our community moving through winter storms — our Public Works team does the hard work behind the scenes — and we think their snowplows deserve names as iconic as the jobs they do.

Introducing Wentzville’s first-ever Name-That-Plow Contest! Residents of all ages are invited to help name a few of our City snowplows.

Contest Rules:

• You may submit up to four names
• Names must be 20 characters or fewer and no more than three words
• No profanity or inappropriate language
• Names cannot be an individual’s name
• If the same name is submitted more than once, only the first entry counts

Entries will be accepted now through Dec. 5. Our Public Works team will select the finalists, and you’ll have the chance to vote Dec. 10–12. Winners will be announced late January!

Prizes & Recognition:

• A tour of the Wentzville Public Works Facility
• A certificate from the Mayor
• A custom placard with your winning snowplow name
• A feature in a City Reel revealing the name design on the truck

Think you’ve got the creativity to name the plow that keeps Wentzville rolling through winter? Visit www.wentzvillemo.gov/NameThatPlow to submit your ideas today!

This is your sign to set those tree limbs out by 6 a.m. on Monday!

To ensure pickup, please have your stacked tree limbs at the curb by 6 a.m. on Monday of your scheduled week. Our crews are still working through remaining neighborhoods in Ward 2, and Ward 3 pickup begins this week.

Remember — this collection isn’t tied to your trash day or the City’s contracted hauler. It’s handled separately by our Street Division.

A few quick reminders:

• Limbs must be loose and unbundled — no bags or tied bundles.

• Only limbs and branches under six inches in diameter will be collected.

For all the details (and to check your Ward Map), visit www.wentzvillemo.gov/TreeLimbPickup.
