The City of Wentzville wants everyone to have a happy and safe Halloween this year. Here are a few safety tips to follow to stay “safe and seen” this Halloween.

- Carry glow sticks or flashlights, and use reflective tape or stickers on costumes and bags to help kids be seen by drivers.
- Children under age 12 should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Slow down and be alert while driving! Turn on your headlights early in the evening so you can spot kids from further away.
- Remind kids to cross the street at corners or in crosswalks and to never step in front of oncoming traffic.
- Choose face paint over costume masks; masks can limit a child’s vision.
