MoDOT to close I-70 lanes between Wentzville Parkway and Route Z
Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close all lanes of Interstate 70 between Wentzville Parkway and Route Z for short 15-minute durations overnight Thursday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Oct. 9 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will be using large cranes to install railroad ties into place on the temporary Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge over the interstate. All work is weather permitting.
This work takes place in both directions of I-70 between exit 208 and exit 209 and is part of the expansion and realignment of the interstate.
Motorists are encouraged to pay attention in work zones, drive the posted work zone speed limit, and allow extra time for travel. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

MoDOT to Close Westbound I-64 Ramp to Eastbound I-70
Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close the westbound Interstate 64 exit ramp to eastbound Interstate 70 (exit 1B) for 30 days starting Monday, Oct.12. All work is weather permitting.
The ramp will close as part of the reconstruction of the Interstate 70/64/U.S. Route 61 interchange.
Traffic wishing to access eastbound I-70 at the interchange can stay in the left lane of westbound I-64 (exit 1A) and exit at the Route Z interchange (exit 209) and turn around and continue east on I-70.

Mexico Road Closure Beginning Sept. 21
The City of Wentzville’s Engineering Department has scheduled a closure of Mexico Road from Josephville Road to Hancock Road beginning Monday, Sept. 21.
The closure is necessary to accommodate the next major construction phase of the Mexico Road Improvement Project and will remain in place through the end of 2026. A signed detour route will be in place. Please refer to the map below for the closure area and designated detour route. Annual Slab Replacement To Begin Late July
In response to resident input, the City’s elected officials have continued to focus their attention on the annual street maintenance program. The City annually reviews all City streets and develops a cost-efficient schedule to replace deteriorated concrete slabs based on the condition of each slab. To equitably select these slabs, City staff perform field inspections and use GPS equipment to identify the street segments that are in the worst overall condition within the City. This information is processed by the engineering staff to cost-effectively prepare the annual slab replacement program.
