Railroad Crossing Repairs – South Point Prairie and Wilmer Rd.
Norfolk Southern Railroad will be making repairs to the railroad crossings at Wilmer Road and South Point Prairie beginning Monday, May 18.
Both crossings will remain closed until approximately 4 p.m. on Friday, May 22. During this closure, drivers will be detoured to Hepperman Road via either Interstate Drive or the South Service Road.
Blasting at Highway Z and I-70
As part of interstate widening and interchange improvements along the westbound I-70 off-ramp at Highway Z, MoDOT will be conducting controlled blasting beginning May 11. This is expected to continue for the next 3-5 weeks during daylight hours.
What to expect:
- 1–3 controlled blasts per day
- Rolling roadblocks on I-70 and Route Z
- Short-duration local road closures
- Audible warning signals prior to blasting
- Brief vibrations may be felt nearby
This work is part of the reconstruction of Interstate 70, adding a third lane in each direction, and the realignment of I-70 between Wentzville Parkway and Route Z.
