Holiday Night Lights will be here before we know it, and there’s no better way to experience the display than during the Holiday Night Lights 5K & Fun Run on Sunday, Dec. 6!

Take on a festive course through Rotary Park surrounded by the dazzling Holiday Night Lights display. Dress in your favorite holiday gear, enjoy cheerful music along the way and make it a fun evening with family and friends.

All racers will receive a fleece-blend crewneck sweatshirt and finisher medal, and the 5K will be chip-timed. Water and snacks will also be waiting at the finish line. The 5K begins at 5 p.m., followed by the one-mile Fun Run at 5:15 p.m.

This FREE guided walk through Peruque Valley Park will explore the hidden stories behind native trees, teach participants how to identify invasive species like Bradford pears, honeysuckle and mimosa trees and show how bioswales help protect local waterways by naturally filtering stormwater.

It’s a down-to-earth way to explore nature, learn something new and see the park in a whole new light.

On Friday, Oct. 9, kids ages 4–12 can pick out their favorite pumpkin floating in the pool at the Wentzville Rec Center. After picking the perfect pumpkin, they will have a chance to decorate it before they take it home. It`s a fun twist on pumpkin picking and a great way to celebrate the fall season!
