Meet Wentzville’s 2024 Citizen of the Year: Lisa Alexander

The City of Wentzville is proud to recognize Lisa Alexander as the recipient of the 2024 Citizen of the Year Award. This award honors individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the community through their dedication, service and leadership. Lisa, a devoted community leader, was presented with the award by Mayor Guccione during the Board of Aldermen meeting on Feb. 26. As the president of the Wentzville Outreach Lions Club, Lisa has spent the past seven years making a profound impact on residents in need, leading efforts to provide food, financial assistance and support to local families.

Her commitment to service is exemplified through her tireless work organizing holiday meals for those without families. Each Thanksgiving and Christmas, she collects and solicits donations to provide meals for the homeless and individuals who would otherwise spend the holidays alone. These heartfelt efforts take place at St. Patrick Catholic School, where Lisa ensures that no one in need is left without a meal. She has also spearheaded similar initiatives for Easter, providing meals and Easter baskets to children in need.

Beyond food assistance, Lisa has played a key role in supporting local causes. She has organized fundraisers and contributed to Jake’s Field of Dreams, helped clean up neighborhoods in need of attention, and led the adoption of a highway to maintain a cleaner community. She continuously partners with local food pantries and extends a helping hand wherever she sees a need. Lisa’s unwavering dedication to Wentzville is not driven by recognition but by a genuine desire to make a difference. As a leader in both the Lions Club and the Realtors Association, she has worked beyond her professional responsibilities to uplift and serve the community. Her passion and commitment to volunteerism embody the true spirit of the Citizen of the Year Award.

“Lisa’s dedication to helping others is a testament to the strength and generosity of our community. Her leadership and commitment to service have touched so many lives, making Wentzville a better place for everyone. It is an honor to recognize her as the 2024 Citizen of the Year,” said Wentzville Mayor Nick Guccione.
