How can I keep my driveway from being snowed-in by plowing?

Clearing City streets of snow requires pushing (plowing) snow from the center of the street to the edges. As a result, additional snow is deposited at the end of your driveway.

If you can’t wait until plows have cleared your street before cleaning your driveway, here’s help: when facing your home, shovel snow to the LEFT side of the end of your driveway and curb (the RIGHT side when facing the street). This will prevent City plows from pushing snow back into your driveway.
