Prosecuting Attorney

The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office represents the City of Wentzville in prosecuting violations of City ordinances. The ordinance violations range from routine traffic offenses to DWI citations. The Prosecuting Attorney also enforces the City’s building code and animal control ordinances. The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is committed to providing a forum for a fair and impartial process for persons accused of violating a Wentzville ordinance.

Defense Attorney “Filing Information”

1. File Entry of Appearance (EOA) with the Court

2. File Motions, such as Discovery and Continuance, with the Court

NOTE: Ensure your office information is current on the EOA and all Motions.

Defense Attorney “Recommendation Process

1. File Entry of Appearance (EOA) with the Court

2. A recommendation will be sent to the Defense within 30 to 45 days from the attorney’s eFiled EOA.

NOTE: Follow the instructions at the bottom of the recommendation to accept the recommendation.

            a. The recommendation will have a due-by date for acceptance of the recommendation, NOT payment.

            b. Court Costs will be assessed by the Court after the charges have been amended, and therefore should not be requested at this time.

NOTE: Do not send your client a payment letter until you have received the final bill and due date from the Court via CaseNet.

            c. You may eFile the signed Accepted recommendation on CaseNet

3. Once the Defense has Accepted the recommendation and fulfilled all requirements (excluding SIS/SES requirements); charges will be Amended and eFiled by the Prosecutor’s office with the Court.

4. Once the Court has received the Amended Information; a notice of Plea Hearing date or Final Bill with Court Costs will be eFiled through CaseNet: courts.mo.gov
