Engineering
The Engineering Department is responsible for all public and private infrastructure located within the City right-of-way and dedicated City easements. The Engineering Department also provides engineering support services to the planning, building and maintenance, and operations divisions of the Public Works Department. Additionally, this Department is responsible for the design and construction services of new infrastructure and the investigation of existing infrastructure.
The Engineering Department provides the following:
- Review and approve all residential, commercial and industrial improvement plans to ensure compliance with the City of Wentzville Design Criteria.
- Construction inspection of all City-owned, operated and maintained infrastructure to ensure compliance with the City of Wentzville Standard Specifications and Construction Details
- Design and construction project management for major Public Works Improvement Projects such as roadwork, stormwater and wastewater projects.
- Pavement management to identify current and future pavement replacement schedules, traffic counts and studies.
