Commemorative Tree and Bench Program

News & Announcements

View All
This program allows individuals to honor a loved one through the dedication of a bench or tree in one of our beautiful parks. Help improve your park and give a gift that keeps growing. Bench and tree gifts are good for memorials, anniversaries, birthdays, weddings or for the person who has everything. This is a thoughtful way to honor someone with a gift that will be around for years to come. A commemorative plaque is placed on the bench or in front of the planted tree to serve as a public reminder of the person to which it is dedicated.

Commemorative Benches
Benches are a great opportunity to commemorate a loved one. It is a great place to have a quiet moment to sit and remember a loved one who has passed, to visit with the person it was dedicated to or to publicly recognize the service of an organization to their community.

Your contribution of $1,750 to the Wentzville Parks and Recreation Department includes:
  • Installation of the bench in the park of your choice
  • A customized memorial plaque
  • A certificate of installation
  • A personalized letter sent to the recipient notifying them of your gift
Please note: Due to manufacturing lead times, time of year and preceding orders, benches may take up to eight months to be installed.

Our staff will purchase a park bench and install it or a tree and plant it in the park of your choice (subject to approval of the Horticulture Manager). Available parks are listed below. We will send a certificate to the recipient notifying them that the gift has been placed in our park system.

Available parks:
Heartland Park
Memorial Park
