Rentals
The WREC is a 94,371-square-foot multigenerational recreational facility located off Wentzville Parkway between West Meyer Road and Schroeder Creek Boulevard. It is designed to include amenities directly influenced by resident feedback in a Feasibility Study conducted in 2018 so it may be enjoyed by all members of the community, regardless of age.

Youth admission applies to children ages 2-15. Children under 2 years old may enter for free. A senior is a person 60 years or older. A family pass consists of no more than two adults and up to three children 22 years of age or younger living in the same household.

Passes may be purchased over the phone by calling (636) 332-9236, in person at Progress Park Recreation Center, at the Wentzville Rec Center, or online. However, if you are interested in installment billing, this must be completed in person. WREC Passes do require photos so we highly encourage guests to complete their passholder application and get their photos taken and passes printed at Progress Park Recreation Center prior to their first visit to the WREC. That way on your first visit, you can swipe in and enjoy the facility!
We honor SilverSneakers and RenewActive for Insurance-Based Passes at the WREC. Individuals in these programs are also eligible for the Indoor Recreation Pass at Progress Park Recreation Center.

The WREC is where our guests come to focus on their fitness goals! The Wellness Hub lower level is home to free weights and selectorized weight equipment to offer guests a variety of resistance training options.
The upper level holds our Cardio Bridge which includes a variety of cardio machines including stationary bikes, treadmills and ellipticals. It has a 1/8 mile elevated track with an incline and decline for those who want the benefit of hills brought indoors and a shorter route to exclude the incline portion for those who prefer a flat course.
In addition, the WREC boasts a variety of group exercise rooms that are specially designed for a variety of purposes. Whatever your fitness goals are, we have a class and a space for you!

The WREC Natatorium is home to a 4,000-square-foot leisure pool where you and your family can come splash and play! It has a zero-depth entry with play features for younger children to enjoy and an enclosed two-story water slide that begins indoors, carries you outside and then back indoors to splash into the slide run out. The leisure pool also includes a 140-foot Current Channel where you can let the current carry you along. The Current Channel will also be used for our River Walking class. Please note that there are no inner tubes in the Current Channel. The leisure pool is 3 feet 6 inches at its deepest point and is kept at 84° F.
The Natatorium is also home to our 25-yard, six-lane lap pool and ranges in depth from 4-7 feet and is kept at 80Âş F. The lap pool is where many of our aquatic fitness classes and our more advanced swim lessons take place. Public swim is available at prescheduled times and the schedule can be found using the buttons at the bottom of the page.

The Creative Studio is a place where guests can let their imaginations run wild! It consists of an eSports Lab and Innovation Zone. These spaces allow guests to explore the worlds of gaming, art, pottery, science and so much more.
eSports Lab
eSports (electronic sports) is a world of competitive, organized video gaming and we are thrilled to have a space to offer such a unique opportunity at the WREC! The eSports lab hosts high-end gaming PCs and Nintendo Switch and XBOX Series X consoles. Controllers and gaming peripherals are provided.
All guests must complete the eSports Waiver upon their first visit to eSports.

Programs
We host eSports Leagues in partnership with YMCAs and in-house tournaments both primarily centered around Super Smash Bros and Fortnite. Explore the available programs here.
Drop-In Play
Join us on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are ready to give insight into setting up accounts, managing memberships and discovering the opportunities that lie in the world of eSports. Kick back and relax with Drop-in Play, where you can effortlessly dive into the gaming world. Whether you’re into PC, Xbox, or Switch games, our hangout space in the eSports Lab is the perfect chill zone. If you’ve got a STEAM, Origin, Epic Games or any other account, just log in and you’re good to go. If you’re new to gaming, no worries – our friendly staff is ready to guide you from the moment you step through the door. It’s all about good vibes and great games at Drop-in Play!
Admission is $5 for passholders and $5 in addition to the Daily Visit fee for nonpassholders to play. Punch Passes are $30 for 10 visits.

The eSports Lab houses XBOX and Nintendo Switch consoles in addition to PC gaming computers.
PC Stations come equipped with mouse, keyboard and webcam. Headsets are available to check out for free with entry. Console games and controllers are available to check out for free with entry.

3D Printing Services
The Creative Studio features two Makerbot Replicator+ units. These units are FDM printers capable of printing machine parts, fidget toys and other pieces with high fidelity. We are now accepting print requests for $1 per 10g of filament. Please allow up to 14 business days for prints. FDM printers print large objects at high resolutions but smaller, more intricate prints may experience lower fidelity.

Innovation Zone
The Innovation Zone is a place for all things STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Math). To view upcoming program offerings including working with clay, creating pottery and even Bricks4Kids programs, please visit the digital Fun Times program guide.
Looking for a place for your kids to go while you work out or take a class? Take them to Kids’ Club! Kids’ Club includes fun, age-appropriate activities in a safe environment while in the facility during peak times. There is a maximum limit of two hours per visit for each child.
We provide a wide variety of games and activities and ask that children leave their toys at home. We do allow a child to bring in a comfort item (blanket, pacifier, teddy bear, etc.) These items must have a printed name on them.
General Guidelines
- Kids’ Club is for ages 6 months to 9 years old.
- Space is limited and not guaranteed.
- An additional dollar will be charged per minute past the two-hour time slot.
- Kids’ Club reservations cannot be made in advance.
- Patrons must pay daily admission or have a WREC pass to use the Kids’ Club.
- No outside toys or electronics allowed.
- Parents will be called to help children on the toilet or change diapers.
Safety Measures
- Food or snacks of any kind are not permitted.
- Shoes must be worn at all times for children walking around the facility.
- Staff is not permitted to administer medications.
- Sick children will not be permitted, their temperature will be taken before admission.
- Children with a discolored runny nose, diarrhea, vomiting or communicable skin rashes will not be permitted into the room.
- Parents will be called to the play center if the child becomes ill, and will need to remove the child immediately without a refund.
- Parents or guardians must remain in the facility while utilizing child watch services.
The Wentzville Rec Center has three individual meeting rooms, each with direct access to an outdoor patio, available for rental. The three rooms are adjacent to one another and can be combined into two or three rooms to accommodate approximately 211 guests.
Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and can be booked up to one year in advance of the rental date. A WREC Conference Room is available for rent during operating hours for smaller groups of 10 or less.

Meeting Room 3 is adjacent to the catering kitchen which can be added on to any room rental for an additional fee if available. Free Wi-Fi is included with each rental.
A two-hour minimum rental is required for all WREC Meeting Rooms. The rental fee is $60 per hour, per room and an additional fee for each hour the rental extends beyond operating hours.
A damage deposit of $100 and food/drink deposit of $100 (if food and drink are expected) are required per room, per rental. Rental must end and be out before midnight.

Conference Room
Our conference room at the WREC is designed to foster productivity and collaboration. Equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, dry erase boards with markers, and comfortable seating for 10 guests this space is ideal for brainstorming sessions, team meetings and client presentations.
General Facility Rules
Participation in any activity in the WREC is voluntary; by using the facility, guests assume all risk of any harm or injury sustained. The WREC is not responsible for belongings that are lost or stolen.
Access to Facility & Pass Revocation
- The use of the WREC is a privilege and participants are expected to be good citizens and respect the rights of others.
- All guests entering fee-based spaces of the facility must swipe their pass card or pay the appropriate fees.
- Individuals who engage in unacceptable or irresponsible behavior may have their access to the facility revoked or modified indefinitely.
- Staff reserves the right to revoke any annual pass that has falsified information on the application.
- Annual passes may also be revoked or suspended for not abiding by the facility rules or staff instructions.
- Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult (age 16+) to enter the facility and cannot be left unattended.
- Food and beverages must remain in the common area.
- Tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, chewing gum and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the facility.
- Profanity, acts of aggression, bullying or discrimination will not be tolerated.
- Guests wishing to take pictures/videos must get permission from the manager to take photos. Cameras and recording devices are not allowed in the restrooms or changing areas.
- Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, scooters or pets are not permitted inside the facility. Only dogs are recognized as service animals under Titles II/III of the ADA and are individually trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities.
- In the event of broken equipment, injury, accident, illness or an uncomfortable situation, please notify a staff member.
- No pass extensions or partial refunds will be given due to facility closures for required maintenance, scheduled programs or unforeseen circumstances.
- All guests are required to wear appropriate attire while in the facility.
- Failure to adhere to any of these rules or instructions from staff may result in removal from the facility and no refunds will be issued in these cases.
- Additional rules are posted throughout the facility. Our staff can change, modify, or add rules as deemed necessary.
Family Locker Room
- The Family Locker Room is provided for use by families with children under the age of 10 and for those with special needs.
- Please monitor your children at all times while in the locker room.
- Use of any electronic device with camera capabilities is prohibited beyond this point. Failure to comply with this rule may result in suspension from the facility and/or termination of your pass.
- Please lock up valuables. The WREC is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
- Lockers are for daily use only. Any contents remaining at the end of the night will be placed in lost and found.
- Please dry off before entering locker room areas.
- WREC Aquatic Rules
Dry Sauna

- Breathing heated air in conjunction with consumption of alcohol, drugs or medication is capable of causing unconsciousness.
- Please exit the sauna immediately if you feel uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy. Staying too long in a heated environment will cause your body to overheat.
- Remove all jewelry before entering the sauna and securely store it in a locker. Jewelry will become extremely hot to the touch if worn in the sauna.
- The amount of time in the sauna should be limited. It is not recommended that sauna usage exceed 30 minutes.
- Health Department code requires you to be over the age of 15 to use the sauna. Supervise children at all times to ensure they do not enter the sauna.
- Appropriate clothing must be worn.
- Food, gum, beverages, and glass items are prohibited.
- Use of the sauna is reserved for our WREC pass-holders only.

Natatorium Rules
- Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult (age 16+).
- All guests using the Natatorium must wear proper swim attire. Questions concerning the appropriateness of clothing and swimwear should be directed to staff.
- Children who are not toilet trained are required to wear a swim diaper in the water. For your convenience, diaper changing stations are provided onsite. The changing of diapers is only permitted at a changing station.
- Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices may be used in the natatorium and are not a substitution for supervision. Those wearing personal flotation devices are not permitted in water greater than 5 feet.
- The facility may close or limit its use because of weather, operational difficulties or overcrowding at the discretion of management.
- Please do not run.
- Diving permitted in the designated areas only.
- Lifeguards are required to maintain a certain level of proficiency with their skills to maintain aquatic readiness. While in our facility, you may see staff practicing their rescue skills.
- Groups wishing to swim must maintain a ratio of one supervising adult per eight children. Adults must be in the water with the group to assist with supervision.
Water Slide Rules
- No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. No cut off jeans or swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation; only approved swimsuits allowed.
- The line should form on the deck with one rider on each landing and one rider in the starter tub.
- The water slide is for experienced swimmers only. Children must be able to exit the slide unassisted.
- No tubes, mats or life jackets are permitted on the waterslide.
- Catching someone off the slide is not allowed.
All riders must:
- Be at least 48” tall and weigh less than 300 pounds;
- Wait until the landing area is clear before entering the slide starter tub.
- Enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub;
- Only use the slide one rider at a time.
- Ride feet first while lying on their back with arms crossed across their chest;
- Not go down the slide head first;
- Ride laying on your back, feet first with arms and legs crossed. Remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times.;
- Not propel themselves into the ride;
- Not use this slide while under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- Promptly exit the splash pool or run-out slide.
WARNINGS:
- Water depth is shallow.
- Diving from the slide is prohibited.
- Failure to follow rules can result in serious injury.
- Riders must be in good health. Elderly persons, those suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy or persons using prescription medication should consult their physician before using this slide. Individuals with medical conditions including, but not limited to, pregnancy, heart or back problems should not ride.
Lap Lane Rules
Share Lanes
- Swimmers must share the lanes.
- Select a lane with swimmers of the same ability.
- Two swimmers may choose to split a lane or circle swim.
- Three or more swimmers must circle swim and keep to the right side of the lane.
- Lifeguards may make lane adjustments to accommodate all swimmers.
Entering an Occupied Lane
- When entering an occupied lane notify the current swimmer(s) of your presence.
Passing
- When passing another swimmer, wait until you reach the wall to avoid mid-lane collisions.
- Tap the foot of the swimmer ahead of you indicating you wish to pass. The swimmer being passed should wait at the wall for the passing swimmer to turn.
Breaks
- When taking a break by resting on the wall, please move to a corner of the lane.
Get Along
- Please be courteous, responsive and mindful of the needs of other swimmers.
Special Uses/Closures
- Please check the posted schedule for lap lane availability.
Party Room Rules
- Our host will provide service for the entire scheduled party.
- Food and drink must remain in the Party Room.
- Decorations are the property of Wentzville Parks and Recreation and should be left in the room.
- Please take your belongings with you at the end of your rental.

eSports Lab Rules
- Food and gum are not allowed. Drinks should be placed in a nonglass, spill-proof or resealable container with lid secured at all times.
- If there is a wait for systems, a time limit for play may be implemented at staff’s discretion.
- Please use your headphones and keep your volume at a level that will not disturb other guests using the eSports Lab.
- Profanity, acts of aggression, gambling, bullying or discrimination will not be tolerated.
- Computers are to be used primarily for gaming and not for personal use to include viewing email, social media or an inappropriate website.
- Please do not sit, stand, lean on or place personal items on the tables.
- Please use equipment responsibly. If you have an issue with the equipment please notify a staff member.
Kiln Room Rules
- Kiln Room door should remain locked when the kiln is not in use.
- Kiln operators should wear appropriate PPE when operating the kiln including close toed shoes.
- Ventilation hood should be turned on before kiln operation and off after kiln operation.
Innovation Zone Rules
- Food and gum are not allowed in this area. Drinks should be placed in a nonglass, spill-proof or resealable container with lid secured at all times.
- Appropriate attire and safety equipment must be worn when it is required per class.
- Use and handle all tools and materials as designed and directed.
- Clean and reset the Innovation Zone after each activity.
- Leave all in-progress or completed works at rest in their designated spot.
Fitness
Cardio Bridge Rules
- Be courteous by limiting your cardio use to 30 minutes during peak times.
- Be considerate of other members and wipe down equipment after each use.
- Food and gum are not allowed. Drinks should be placed in a nonglass, spill-proof or resealable container with lid secured at all times.
- Appropriate attire and athletic footwear must be worn at all times.
- Youth under the age of 9 are not permitted on the Cardio Bridge and may not use this area unless attending a WREC program.
- Children 9-15 years old may use the equipment with direct adult supervision (16+). The adult must be right next to the child.
- Youth who are 12-15 years old may use the Cardio equipment without direct supervision after completing the Weight Room Orientation.
GX Studio Rules & Etiquette
- Please arrive at least five minutes prior to the start of class. If you are not present at the start of class, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
- Appropriate attire and athletic footwear must be worn at all times.
- Please do not remove equipment from the studio for use in other areas of the facility.
- Food and gum are not allowed. Drinks should be placed in a nonglass, spill-proof or resealable container with lid secured at all times.
Terrace Rules
- Appropriate attire and athletic footwear must be worn at all times.
- Please do not drop or slam weights or lean weights or bars against the walls or other equipment.
- Private and Group Training sessions must be organized through Wentzville Parks and Recreation in advance.
- Food and gum are not allowed on the Terrace. Drinks should be placed in a nonglass, spill-proof or resealable container with lid secured at all times.
- Youth who are 12-15 years old and have not completed the Weight Room Orientation can only use the track and cardio equipment.
- Youth under the age of 12 are not allowed on the Terrace and may not use this area unless attending a WREC program.
Track Rules
- When walking please use the outside lane. No more than two people may walk side-by-side on the track.
- The inside lane is designated for runners only.
- Please call out when passing slower moving guests on the track.
- No strollers are permitted on the track.
- A one-time Weight Room Orientation is required for anyone between the ages of 12-15 who wish to use the Wellness Hub, Cardio Bridge, track or terrace without adult supervision (age 16+).
- Youth under the age of 9 are not allowed in the fitness center and are not to use the cardio, strength, free weight equipment or track unless the activity is part of a WREC program.
- Youth who are 9-15 years old may use the track with direct adult supervision (16+).
- Youth who are 12-15 years old may use the track without direct supervision after completing the Weight Room Orientation.
Wellness Hub Rules
- Appropriate attire and athletic footwear must be worn at all times.
- Please wipe down and return equipment to the rack.
- Food and gum are not allowed. Drinks should be placed in a nonglass, spill-proof or resealable container with lid secured at all times.
- Please do not drop or slam weights or lean weights or bars against the walls or other equipment.
- Private and Group Training sessions must be organized in advance through Wentzville Parks and Recreation.
- Please allow others to work in between your sets.
- Chalk is not permitted in the Wellness Hub.
- Please use a spotter and collars when necessary.
- You must be at least 12 years old to be in the Wellness Hub. The use of strength and free weight equipment is strictly prohibited for those under the age of 12 unless attending a WREC program.

Gymnasium Rules
- Appropriate attire and athletic footwear must be worn at all times.
- Anyone using the court is required to wear athletic shoes with nonmarking soles.
- Food and gum are not allowed.
- Drinks should be placed in a nonglass, spill-proof or resealable container with lid secured at all times
- Profanity, acts of aggression, bullying or discrimination will not be tolerated.
- Dunking and hanging from the basketball rims is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the facility.
- Do not play in the seating areas or walkways.
- Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult (age 16+).
- Full court games are not allowed to be played during open gym.
- Speakers and other audio devices that project sound are not allowed.
- Program participants and spectators may only use the designated program areas during their scheduled time.
- Organized practices may not be conducted in the gym during open gym.
- All private and group training sessions must be organized in advance through Wentzville Parks and Recreation.
- The gym may be designated for volleyball, basketball or other activities. It is possible that during designated volleyball times, basketball will not be available and vice versa. Please check the schedule.
- All sporting equipment is to be used properly and for its intended purpose.
- Any equipment that has been checked out must be returned after use.
- Please clean up after yourself and dispose of any items in the proper receptacles.
- Please keep your valuables at home; the WREC is not responsible for belongings that are lost or stolen.
- Staff reserves the right to add rules and revoke or suspend facility usage without refund as deemed necessary. Please report any questionable activity to staff

WREC Learning Academy & Kids’ Club
General Rules
- Sick children are not permitted.
- No outside toys or games allowed.
- Guardians must sign their child in and out of the WREC Learning Academy & Kids’ Club.
- Children must be appropriately dressed.
- Outside food is not allowed.
- Please have all your child’s belongings marked with their first and last name.
Kids’ Club Rules
- Kids’ Club is for children ages 6 months to 9 years old.
- Children may remain in Kids’ Club for no more than two hours (late fees apply).
- Guardians are required to remain at the WREC while their child is in Kids’ Club.
- Guardians are responsible for changing diapers and may be called to Kids’ Club to do so.
- Kids’ Club staff are not allowed to give medicine, bottles, snacks or drinks to children.
- Space is limited and not guaranteed.
