Volunteers play a vital role in the success of Wentzville Parks and Recreation. Our community’s passion and support make it possible to enhance our City’s events, beautify our local parks and provide high-quality recreational services year after year.
Whether you are a student looking to earn service hours, a scout group practicing community stewardship or a resident looking for a fun way to stay connected, there is a place for you in the Crossroads Volunteer Network. We have opportunities for all ages, groups and abilities!

Current Opportunities
Our volunteer needs change with the seasons, but common ways to get involved include:

Special Events
Assist with popular community favorites like the Egg Hunt, Wentzville Days and Holiday Night Lights.
Parks and Conservation
Help keep our town beautiful through litter cleanups, “Adopt-a-Spot” projects or assisting our Horticulture and Forestry divisions with planting and seasonal maintenance.


Program Support
Help with prep work for Senior Bingo, directing local races or setting up athletic fields.
Other Ways to Get Involved
- Coaching – Share your love of the game by coaching a youth sports team.
- Helping Hands – Youth can assist with specific community maintenance and support projects through the Helping Hands program.
- Parks and Recreation Board – Serve in an advisory capacity to help shape the future of our parks.
- Arts and Programs Committee – Engage the Wentzville community in an appreciation for art in its various forms.
- Tree Committee – Protect Wentzville’s parks and green spaces by inspiring the community to plant, nurture and celebrate trees.
