Trash Can Art Contest
Team up with the City of Wentzville and Crossroads Arts Council to raise public awareness about preventing litter in our local parks and community. Participants will create a landscape layout (horizontal) design to wrap around a trash can. Winners of the contests will have their artwork displayed in one of the City of Wentzville parks and win a prize. The 2026 year’s theme is “America the Beautiful”. Contest Age groups:
- Kindergarten-Grade 2
- Grades 3-4
- Grades 5-6
- Grades 7-8
- Grades 9-12
- Adult (Age 18+)
Fire Hydrant Decorating Contest
The Wentzville Parks and Recreation Department and the Water Division have partnered to offer a scholarship in recognition of art and water conservation to assist deserving high-school seniors who intend to pursue higher education at an accredited community college, four-year college or university. Participants from Holt, Timberland, Liberty and North Point high schools, as well as a Wentzville resident high-school senior enrolled in a private school or homeschool program, will compete to design and decorate a themed fire hydrant. The 2026 year’s theme is “Celebrate 250.”
