Today we are WRECognizing Kyle J. 🎉

Since joining the WREC in December 2023, Kyle has made remarkable progress on his weight loss journey. You'll find him in the weight room, where he spends most of his time building strength and staying consistent with his goals.

"The most memorable moments have been people congratulating me on my weight loss," Kyle shares. "It feels really good to hear such compliments."

Kyle credits the WREC with helping him stay accountable and watch himself get stronger each month. He's also formed a meaningful connection with his personal trainer, Nick Maurer, who he's been working with for over one-and-a-half years.

Outside the gym, Kyle works as a subject matter expert on UiPath for the FAA, helping create robotic process automations. His advice for anyone hesitant about joining? "Ask the front desk for a tour. The staff has been wonderful to me."

Kyle's message to the community is simple but powerful: "It's never too late to start living healthy."
Great news! We’ve added extra public swim hours at the WREC leisure pool for Thanksgiving break. While the family is off, it is the perfect place to burn energy, unwind and enjoy some quality family float time. Check out the schedule by visiting www.wentzvillemo.gov/WRECPool.
We are grateful for the service and sacrifice of the veterans who have called this city home.

Today, as you drive by the WREC, you will notice the flags on display to honor and remember our country’s veterans. We encourage you to take special note of the Salute Our Troops Banners located around town that honor some of our local heroes and serve as a reminder of their sacrifice.

Wentzville Parks and Recreation is hosting a food drive Nov. 10-21! Item donations will benefit the Wentzville School District’s Operation Backpack, which gives backpacks of food to students in need weekly. 🥫🎒

Items can be dropped off in the decorated bins at the Wentzville Rec Center or Progress Park Recreation Center. Donate at least one item and get $1 off admission. For each food item donated, guests can also fill out an entry ticket for a chance to win a 2026 Aquatic Pass! 🎟️

Let’s make a difference together! 🤝
Did you know that the Wentzville Rec Center has its very own eSports lab? This space is for more than just gaming, there are many other hands-on tech-focused programs and classes offered in the eSports lab. Stop by and see how we’re leveling up skills both on and off the screen!

Check out this month’s programs, events and drop-in times in our Fun Times brochure, on our website or at the WREC front desk. Whether you’re a gamer, a tech enthusiast or just curious, there’s something for everyone to try!

As colder temperatures creep in, it is time to winterize restrooms at some of our parks and drinking fountains at all Wentzville parks. Effective Nov. 6, the restrooms located by the football field at Progress Park and the restrooms at Fireman’s park will be closed for the season. Drinking fountains at all outdoor parks will be closed as well. Please keep these changes in mind when you plan visits to our parks in the winter months.
