Heartland Park operations will be impacted on Wednesday, April 22, as the City of Wentzville’s Parks and Recreation Department provides overflow parking in support of a regional visitation honoring Fire Captain Tommy Shine.

Visitors to Heartland Park, including Jake’s Field of Dreams Playground, should expect heavy traffic, limited or unavailable parking and possible delays accessing park amenities throughout the day.

Shuttle service will run continuously between Heartland Park and Pitman Funeral Home. Peak impacts are anticipated between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., with activity continuing into the evening.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra time or consider visiting at an alternate time.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we support Captain Shine’s family and our first responder community.
