It’s National Parks and Recreation Month, and we’re highlighting the people who help bring The Power of Parks and Recreation to life in Wentzville.
As we wrap up our month-long celebration, we’re shining the spotlight on our maintenance team! From caring for parks and maintaining facilities to preparing athletic fields, supporting playgrounds and keeping green spaces beautiful, their impact can be seen across the places residents visit, play and gather year-round.
We’re grateful for our maintenance staff and all they do for Wentzville Parks and Recreation!

Today is National Lifeguard Appreciation Day! 🛟
We’re recognizing the lifeguards who help keep guests safe at Splash Station Aquatic Center, Progress Park Pool and the Wentzville Rec Center pool. Their work is so important, and they do so much more than watch the water. They help guests, respond when needed and help keep the pools clean, safe and fun for everyone. Many of our lifeguards also teach swim lessons, helping swimmers build confidence and learn important water safety skills.
Thank you to our lifeguards for the important work you do each day to help make pool season safe and fun for our community!

Sometimes, the work of our parks maintenance team extends beyond Wentzville’s parks.
Staff recently completed improvements at the four corners near the railroad crossings at Linn and Main streets and Linn and Allen streets in Historic Downtown Wentzville. The crew replaced the old landscape blocks, added new soil to raise the planting areas and removed several bushes to prepare for new plants this fall.
Thank you to our maintenance staff for their work on this project to help keep our city looking beautiful!
