Baseball Tots will teach your little ones the basics of baseball from throwing, catching, hitting to even running control. This program is the perfect mix of learning and playing, where kids ages 3-6 can develop those all-important fine and gross motor skills while mastering body control. ⚾️

Kick the day off with our free parade that starts at 10 a.m. Also don’t forget that there is still time to participate in the parade by designing a float! This year’s theme is, “All American Summer.”
Later that evening, make sure to bring a chair over to Progress Park for our firework show which starts at 9:30 p.m.

Meet Maggie Edwards, our dedicated Parks Business Associate and another Beacon of Wentzville! Maggie manages finances for front desk and events within the city, safety training for management staff, and leads the Employee Engagement Committee. Maggie decided to step into this role to gain general knowledge in the field and how the City of Wentzville works.
Maggie emphasizes the power of connections in both personal and professional growth. Her commitment to building relationships and fostering community makes a difference every day. Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the amazing individuals behind our success!

The weather is finally cooperating, both pools open daily starting tomorrow, May 31 and the lifeguards are ready to see you all out at Splash Station and Progress Park Pool! ☀️

Progress Park Recreation Center, WREC and Wentzville Ice Arenas are closed Memorial Day Monday, May 26.

Unfortunately, due to low water and air temperatures, aquatic facilities will be unable to open today, May 24.
We know this is disappointing and hope the weather allows us to open tomorrow! BUT don’t let the weather get you down. We still have some good news to share! We’re extending our sale where you can save $20 on Family Outdoor Aquatic Season Passes and $10 off Individual Pool Passes. The sale has been extended through Monday, May 26.

Tomorrow, we will once again evaluate our ability to open pools based on air and water temperature.
Summer is almost here, bringing with it seasonal changes to our recreation facility hours.
Please note that weather can impact the opening of outdoor pools. Splash Station is scheduled to open daily beginning May 24. Progress Park Pool is scheduled to open May 24-26, close May 27-30, then open daily for the season beginning May 31. However, there are low temperatures projected this weekend so please stay tuned to RainoutLine to receive notifications on facility statuses as soon as changes are announced.
Progress Park Recreation Center switches to nonpeak facility hours May 24. The WREC is closed Memorial Day (May 26) and begins nonpeak facility hours May 27.

Due to unforeseen scheduling changes impacted by weather, Pickleball will not be available at Progress Park Recreation Center on Friday, May 23 in order to accommodate a rental with the Wentzville School District. The track and fitness area will remain open.
Our free pickleball courts at Fireman’s Park are still available for open play!

What a fun night we had last night at our Cops and Bobbers event! Tons of kids came out to cast their lines and reel in some fun with our local police officers. 🎣
