Meet April, one of the WREC`s personal trainers!
April specializes in corrective exercise, total body transformation, mom fitness and weight loss. In addition to personal training, she also teaches several group fitness classes at the WREC, such as Sprint Cycle, Strength Intervals and Cardio Power. She is a force to be reckoned with, helping you achieve your fitness goals with flair.

The Sweetheart Dance returns to the WREC on Friday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 28, bringing dads and daughters together for a beloved Wentzville tradition. From dancing and games to dinner and a special craft, this magical night is all about quality time, laughter and making your daughter feel extra special.

Our Parks and Recreation maintenance staff has been out since 4 a.m. this morning clearing the parking lot and sidewalks at the WREC to prepare for a safe opening. The WREC is open today (Sunday, Jan. 25) until 6 p.m. Please drive safely and use caution if traveling.

As winter weather moves out of the Wentzville area, here are some important updates regarding Wentzville Parks and Recreation facilities and programs for today (Sunday, Jan. 25):
• The WREC is open from noon-6 p.m. today. We are doing our best to get staff there, and parking lots and sidewalks cleared.
• Co-Rec Volleyball League and Men`s Basketball League at the WREC have been canceled. All other sports programs are canceled.
• Both pools at the WREC as well as Kids` Club are closed today.
• Wentzville Ice Arena is closed today.

With winter weather impacting the Wentzville area, we have important updates regarding Wentzville Parks and Recreation facilities and programs for today (Saturday, Jan. 24):
As of now, Wentzville Parks and Recreation facilities will operate as regularly scheduled on Sunday, Jan. 25. For any potential changes, please check back after 6:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Youth tennis lessons, Bobby Wallace basketball training and CORE soccer programs for tomorrow (Jan. 25) have been canceled.

This weekend is going to be a cold one! With snow and frigid temperatures in the forecast, it is time for some reminders on how you can stay in the loop when winter weather impacts programs and facilities.
In the event it becomes necessary to close a facility or cancel a program, we will update the impacted facility listing on Rainout Line. Enable notifications to receive updates directly to your phone when a facility`s status changes.
You can also download the WPRD app and be sent push notifications in the event of a closure or short-notice program cancellation. Updates will also be shared on our social media pages as information becomes available.

Rob’s career path may not have been traditional, but it led him to a fulfilling role with the City of Wentzville. Specializing in HVAC while supporting many other maintenance needs, he enjoys hands-on problem-solving and the chance to learn something new every day.
