Fourth of July Celebration
This year’s Fourth of July Celebration will include a parade, free swim at Progress Park Pool and FREE fireworks visible from Rotary Park (starting at 9:30 p.m.). We invite Wentzville to come celebrate our nation’s independence with us!
Parade
Make plans to celebrate Independence Day in Wentzville! The annual Fourth of July Parade starts at 10 a.m. on July 4 at the Wentzville Ice Arena and travels south on Luetkenhaus Boulevard, turns right onto Pearce Boulevard, and ends near Pearce Boulevard and Allen Street. This event is FREE to observe.
Everyone is invited to participate in the parade by designing a float. The 2026 theme will be “America 250”. Floats will be judged for overall first, second and third place, along with Mayor’s Choice and Best-Themed Entry for first and second place. Float registration is required by early June. A $10 late fee will be applied to applications submitted after this date.
If you have questions, please email WentzvilleEvents@wentzvillemo.gov or call (636) 639-2086.
To apply, fill out the Parade Float Application.
Free Swim at Progress Park Pool
Progress Park Pool free swim is available for Outdoor Aquatic Season Passholders and Wentzville residents. An Outdoor Aquatic Season Pass or a Resident Card is required to attend and must be presented upon entry to Progress Park Pool. Resident Cards cannot be obtained the day of the event. This event runs from noon-5 p.m.
Fireworks
Everyone is invited to bring a chair and watch the fireworks light up the sky at Rotary Park! Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
Where can I park to watch the display?
Parking is available at Rotary Park. Overflow parking will be available at Wabash Elementary, North Point High School and North Point Middle School.
Why is the display no longer held near Progress Park?
Recent construction has encroached on the previous launch site, making it no longer possible to meet required safety distances for the fireworks fall zone. The new location ensures a safe experience for both spectators and staff.
Will there be other activities at Rotary Park on July 4?
No, Rotary Park is simply the new launch site for Wentzville’s Fourth of July Celebration fireworks. The evening is focused solely on the fireworks display and will not include additional activities such as music, rides or food vendors.
Where exactly in Rotary Park will the display be launched from?
The fireworks will be launched from the northern edge of Rotary Park. For safety, a designated viewing distance will be maintained in accordance with Fire Marshal requirements. Please follow posted signage and staff direction when selecting a viewing area.
What time will the fireworks begin?
The fireworks display begins at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Will there be shuttle service to Rotary Park?
No, shuttle service will not be provided. Attendees should plan to walk from designated parking areas.
What does it cost to attend?
Attendance and parking are free. The fireworks display at Rotary Park is open to everyone.
Can I bring a cooler? What about my pet?
Standard park rules apply. Coolers are permitted, but glass containers are not allowed. Please dispose of all trash properly. Dogs are allowed but must remain on a leash at all times.
What roads will be closed?
The new location near Rotary Park does not require external street closures. Roads within the park may be affected due to the display setup.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Any changes will be posted on the City website and social media.
Will there be restrooms available?
Restrooms will be available at the Kolb Building in Rotary Park. No additional portable restrooms will be provided, so attendees are encouraged to plan ahead.
