What Day Will My Solid Waste Be Picked Up?
All trash, recycling and yard waste* are collected on the same day. To view your collection day, click here.
*Additional fee for yard waste service.
What Time Do I Need to Put My Cart(s) Out?
Place your carts out in the evening before your scheduled collection day — but no later than 6 a.m. on your collection day — to ensure uninterrupted service.
I Forgot to Put My Cart(s) Out at 6 a.m., Now What?
If you forgot to place your cart out, and want Meridian Waste to come back, call Public Works at (636) 639-2049. Please note, there will be a $12 trip fee applied to your account.
I Think the Trash Hauler Forgot to Pick Up My Trash. What Do I Do?
If you feel that the hauler missed your trash, recycling or yard waste pick-up, please contact us as soon as possible at (636) 639-2049 or by completing this online request.
Please note, if your pick-up was missed because waste was not at the curb by 6:00am, a $12 trip fee will be charged to your account to have the hauler return to remove your trash, recycling or yard waste.
Why Can't I Use My Own Personal Cart?
Personal (noncommercial) carts are easily susceptible to damage by the automatic arm on the solid waste trucks. Unfortunately, many personal carts are unable to be picked up by the automatic arm, leading to inefficient collection and potential safety concerns for the drivers. Moving forward, commercial carts will be provided, and personal carts may not be used. If you need to have your personal solid waste or recycling cart removed free of charge, please call (636) 639-2049 or email email@example.com.
Will My Trash, Recycling or Yard Waste Be Picked Up If the Lid On My Cart Is Not Closed?
The trash hauler requires that lids on all carts (trash, recycling and yard waste) be completely closed to ensure pick up.
If you can't completely close the lid of your cart, consider placing extra trash in a trash bag and placing it on the side of your cart. Residents can place up to three trash bags (max. 40 lbs. per bag) next to their cart per pick-up.
What if I Have Too Much Trash for My Cart?
Each week, you can place up to three extra bags of trash next to your cart, at no additional cost. Have more than three extra bags? No problem! Extra bag collection is only $2.50/bag. However, if you have more than three bags, you'll need to schedule a one-time extra trash pickup by visiting www.wentzvillemo.gov/swrequest or calling (636) 639-2049.Do you regularly not have enough space in your trash or recycling cart? You can add an extra cart for solid waste or recycling for only $3 per cart, per month. You also have the option to add a second trash pick-up day for $16.50 per month. Simply visit www.wentzvillemo.gov/swrequest or call (636) 639-2049 to add an extra cart or pick-up day to your account.
Can I Schedule an Extra Trash Pickup?
Yes, you can call to schedule this service for a fee. Please call (636) 639-2049 to set up an extra trash pickup or visit www.wentzvillemo.gov/swrequest.
I Don't Have a Recycling Cart. Will One Be Provided?
All Wentzville residents can opt into the recycling program at no extra cost. A 65 gallon recycling cart can be requested free of charge. Any resident who wishes to opt into the recycling program can call (636) 639-2049 or complete this form. Recycling carts are not automatically delivered with new trash service.
What Are the Cart Sizes Available for Recycling?
The standard cart size for recycling is a 65-gallon cart. A limited number of 35-gallon carts and 95-gallon carts are available upon request. You may also add a second cart to your account at www.wentzvillemo.gov/swrequest.
What Can I Put in My Recycle Cart?
Recycling in Wentzville is easy with single-stream. Both Fiber and Rigids now go in one cart. Glass is not accepted. Below is a list of recyclable items:
- Plastics #1, 2, 3, 5, and 7

Why Can't I Recycle Glass?

Glass can also be taken to Recycle Works West. Learn more about their location, hours and what items they accept here.
