West Pearce Boulevard and Meyer Signal

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Construction of intersection improvements along West Pearce Boulevard at Meyer Road and Cheryl Ann Drive including conversion of the Cheryl Ann Drive intersection to a two-way stop-controlled intersection and conversion of the Meyer Road intersection to an all-way signal-controlled intersection.  Improvements will include improved turning radiuses, sidewalk replacement, curb ramps, crosswalks, and ADA -compliant push buttons.  The signal will be interconnected to the City’s traffic signal system to monitor operations and provide optimal timing plans. This project will be split into three stages, as described below: 

Stage 1: This stage includes demolition and improvement installation work on the southern side of the West Pearce Boulevard and Meyer Road intersection. 

Stage 2: This stage includes the demolition and improvement installation work on the northern side of the West Pearce Boulevard and Meyer Road intersection. 

Stage 3:  Demolition and improvement work on the north side of the West Pearce Boulevard and Cheryl Ann Drive intersection.

 
PROJECT STATUS

November 2021: City awarded the Construction Contract to Pavement Solutions, LLC.
 
December 2021: City issued the Notice to Proceed. The contractor is expected to begin construction in the first quarter of 2022, sometime in March. 

July 2022: The Pearce and Meyer Signal is nearing substantial completion. There are still a few items that the contractors will address shortly, weather permitting

September 2022: Sod is scheduled to be installed on or around the 15th of September.
