IMG_0898Wentzville Parks and Recreation offers multiple opportunities for the community to get involved and learn about how to preserve our greenspaces and how they can make their own backyard more inviting to local wildlife.

Many species of native flora and fauna call our parks home and we design our parks to encourage balance. We work closely with the Missouri Department of Conservation to stock our ponds with native fish and ensure they have a healthy habitat. In addition, Heartland Park was created as part of the Dry Branch Watershed Project to help filter stormwater in a natural way.

If you are looking for ways to learn more, we encourage you to volunteer, participate in a Mission: Clean Stream Clean Up, or even attend a Tree Committee meeting.
