Peine Road Closure Update

Update (Aug. 17): We apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately, due to recent consecutive rainy days and unexpected delays in ongoing projects, we must extend the closure of the section of Peine Road between Somerset Manor Drive and Stewart Springs Drive. We understand the impact this has on our community and sincerely appreciate your patience. Peine Road is anticipated to reopen the week of Aug. 21. We will continue to provide updates as we receive more information. For an alternative route, please refer to the detour map available at www.wentzvillemo.gov/PeineDetourMap. We greatly value your understanding at this time as we strive to improve our infrastructure.

To facilitate Peine Road improvements, Peine Road will be closed beginning Tuesday, June 20, weather permitting. A detour will be established utilizing Somerset Manor Road, Hackman Hollow Drive and Stewart Springs Drive. No parking signs will be added as part of the traffic control to ensure the flow of traffic and ensure adequate width for emergency vehicles. Peine Road will re-open to traffic prior to the start of school and no later than Aug. 18, 2023. See attached detour map.

 

These roadway improvements are being completed in connection to the Sutton Farms development. When completed, the three-lane road section with sidewalks on either side will extend north from the existing terminus, near Somerset Manor Drive and the Splash Station entrance, to the existing 90-degree curve. This project will convert this 90-degree curve into a three-way intersection with the three-lane road section with sidewalks on either side extended north through the Sutton Farms development at Westhaven Boulevard.
