Current Road Construction Projects
The St. Charles County Highway Department will close Duello Road at Orf Road Monday, May 6 before the morning rush hour. This closure will be a complete shutdown of the road and intersection to begin major grading operations to raise the roadway for its future alignment. (Grading and road-building activities are expected to continue for eight weeks before the intersection is reopened to traffic for the next sections of closure.) Traffic will be required to detour around the closure section until the intersection is reopened to traffic in the permanent alignment. To bypass the closure, traffic can take Duello Road, to Prospect Road to Interstate 64 to Lake St. Louis Boulevard to Orf Road— or just take Route N.
This road improvement project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the traveling public.
