Facebook page and all associated Facebook events by the end of day Sunday, Aug. 29.
Upon casting and acceptance of a show role, all participants will be required to pay a participation fee of $140/175. This fee must be paid by the end of the parent meeting the following day. If this participation fee is not paid, the participant will forfeit their role and the production team will cast another actor.
Rehearsal, Tech Week and Performance Dates, Times, Location
Rehearsals will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Rehearsal locations are being adjusted to allow as much physical distancing as possible. Please see the rehearsal calendar for more information on rehearsals, tech week and performances.
A parent meeting will be held on Monday, Aug. 30 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Board
Chambers (1001 Schroeder Creek Blvd., Wentzville, MO, 63385). Parents/guardians of actors under 18 years of age are required to attend. Live streaming will be available for those unable to attend in person. This meeting will be used as an opportunity to meet Wentzville’s CTC Production Team, sign up for a committee, find out more details about the production process and ask any questions regarding the show.
Please list all conflicts on the attached calendar.
- The number of conflicts may impact casting.
- All conflicts approved by the production team at auditions will be considered excused absences.
- We understand that illness/injury may come up. We ask that you make every effort to report absences to the director before rehearsal time so that we may adjust the schedule to accommodate. Long-term illnesses or injuries may require modifications to the role.
- No Conflicts will be accepted during tech week or performance dates.
Rehearsal conflicts are difficult on everyone. Actors who have two or more unexcused or unreported absences may be asked to forfeit their role in the show.
Memorizing your lines is one of the major responsibilities for all actors. Actors who struggle with lines make it difficult for the entire cast to rehearse. Actors who are not actively working on memorization by the due dates may be asked to discuss the continuation of their role.
Closed Rehearsals and Chaperones
Rehearsals are considered “closed” rehearsals. Family and friends are asked to wait outside of the rehearsal area for your child(ren). This keeps our noise level and distractions to a minimum.
However, if you would like to observe rehearsals, we encourage you to become a rehearsal
chaperone. You can sign up for one or more rehearsals depending upon your availability. Chaperones will be asked to help monitor noise levels and student activity during rehearsal times as well as supervise daily clean up. Sign-up information will be provided at the audition and parent meeting.
It takes a small army to make these productions! That’s where our parents come in. We ask each
parent to take on a pre-production and a production job so that we share the workload. If you have a special area of expertise that you would like to offer help with, we would love to hear from you! We will be covering volunteer committees during the parent meeting.
We are so excited to showcase the talent of Wentzville's youth! See you at the show!
