On-Ramp Closure - Eastbound I-70
On Thursday, Oct. 5, during the overnight hours, the new eastbound I-70 on-ramps will open. Immediately following the opening of the new ramps, the existing eastbound I-70 on-ramp will be closed permanently.

The opening of the new on-ramps will change how drivers on Wentzville Parkway and Veterans Memorial Parkway access eastbound I-70. Drivers heading south on Wentzville Parkway will now stay in the right lane to access eastbound I-70. Drivers on Veterans Memorial Parkway who want to access eastbound I-70, will use the newly constructed roundabout west of Wentzville Parkway.

With the removal of the existing eastbound I-70 on-ramp, there will now be only one intersection on the south side of the Wentzville Parkway bridge. On Monday, Oct. 9, the intersection currently controlled by a temporary traffic signal, will be switched to a new permanent traffic signal. During this operation, the traffic signal will be turned off and the intersection will be controlled with temporary stop signs. This switch-over will take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please consider alternate routes on Monday, as there will be traffic delays in the area.

These changes are weather permitting. A map of the on-ramp changes can also be viewed at www.wentzvillemo.gov/RampOpeningMap.
