West Pearce Blvd. (1-70 North Outer Road) Resurfacing Project

The West Pearce Boulevard Resurfacing Project consists of adding a 2-foot aggregate pavement edge treatment/ shoulders and resurfacing the West Pearce roadway from May Road to approximately 850 feet west of North Point Prairie Road. This project also will complete any necessary full-depth pavement repairs, replacement/ installation of new fencing with glare slates, centerline rumble strips, and upgrading of any deficient signing and guardrail.

February 2020 – The City of Wentzville entered into a program agreement and the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for federal funding

January 2021 – City has selected a consultant and entered into an agreement for the design work.

September 2021 – MoDOT approved the Preliminary Design Plans.

October 2021 – Submitted Right of Way Clearance to MoDOT for approval.

November 2021 – Pavement boring was completed and design work is ongoing.

July 2022- Final design plans are being drafted and reviewed by city staff.

September 2022- City submitted Final Plans and Bid Documents to MoDOT for approval. The city anticipates bidding in December 2022 with a project award in January 2023.

November 2022 – Bid Documents still awaiting MoDOT approval. City anticipates bidding
December 2022 with project award in January 2023.

June 2023 – The contractor has started the construction of the aggregate shoulders. Pavement
repairs will be taking place at the end of June. Asphalt operations will be starting in July.
